CCM's Legislative Committee

CCM's Legislative Committee is made up of member chief elected or executive officials, or their designee.  The Legislative Committee meets monthly throughout the year to adopt our annual agenda, recieve updates on state budget discussions and pending legislation, and give guidance to CCM policy staff on key legislative issues.

CCM's Annual State Legislative Priorities & Agenda

CCM's annual State Legislative Priorities and Agenda are crafted with the input of all member-municipalities, considered by CCM's issue-area policy committees made up of member-municipal officials and employees, and adopted by CCM's Legislative Committee and Board of Directions for action.

CCM's Legislative Committee and issue-area Policy Committees are critical to the development of CCM's annual State Legislative Agenda and review of legislation during the legislative session.

The Annual Process for Developing CCM's State Legislative Agenda has concluded.  See below for CCM's 2012 Legislative Priorities and Agenda:

CCM's Issue-Area Policy Committees

The issue-area Policy Committees have chairman and vice-chairman, appointed by the CCM Board of Directors,  who are mayors, first selectmen, council chairpersons, or city/town managers.  Each CCM member municipality has the authority to appoint one member to each Policy Committee.

Policy Committee members are municipal officials (elected, appointed, or employed) generally with expertise in the issue-are of the particular subcommittee.  CCM also has ad hoc committees and task forces that meet as needed on specific issues.

If you aren't already, please consider participating in CCM's Legislative and Issue- Area Policy Committees to ensure your municipality's voice is included.
